Don't Waste time or money on this one.

I have been reading all the hardbacked books coming out for D&D. I have read Greenwood's stuff before this book. All I can say is that it is horrible. The continuiy of the story is bad. The characters have different names used on them some much you don't remember who is being talked about each time and it is confusing. The plot is weak, extremely. The actual art is fine, it is on par with all the others and the additional art included is nice, same as the other D&D books. I highly recommend that you do not waste your time or money on this poorly written POS.

Not bad, not good.

Some potential here - but hard to follow action, and inconsistent artwork marred this volume. Good enough that I would buy the next, but frustrating to read at some points as you try to understand what is happening, and who is who in the pictures.

I really wanted to like this

I admit to liking the D&D fantasy stuff.
In fact the newer comic just titled Dungeons and Dragons is one of my favorites out there now.
This... Not so much.
The art is not a problem. That is one of the books more solid sections, and what saves it from being lower.
I hate these characters. So far there isn't one person with any likable qualities. The opening chapter has the two leads discussing kidnapping someone to make it big. Yeah great heroes there. I am all for flawed characters, but you can't ever get me to buy into lowlife kidnappers as the sort who pull it off.
As for the female protagonist. And I use that description of her lightly. Yeah spoiled brat, who gets others killed for her games.
Aside from those issues, it's not very well paced to me. Three issues in and not much has happened.
