Inspiring story with Norwich roots

This well-written account provides another perspective on the infamous "Blackhawk Down" incident that saddened our nation over two decades ago. Readers will find inspiration in the character and commitment shown by our soldiers for their brothers in arms, and along the way will learn a bit about the tiny but storied Vermont school where many of our nation's brightest military leaders have honed their skills: Norwich Unjversity, the birthplace of ROTC.

Mogadishu from another perspective - well done!

Miller brings history and the richness of Norwich's culture and dedication to life. Too many of us think "Blackhawk Down" (the film) when we think of Mogadishu... this adds context and vibrance to the situation -- and at 23 pages, it's a fairly quick read (but pause to give yourself time to think of what it all meant - and means).
Well-written and truly interesting!!! Highly recommend his full book on Norwich Heroes, too!!

DBrave actions not to be forgotten

The brief story of a much larger context is gripping in it's short read. The elite of the US Army thrown into a situation described as chaotic as best. Challenged and hampered from the start, the few did not show defeat. A must short read that brings back the memories of not so long ago.
