This is a great book for any one taking care of children.

I wish I had known about it since my daughter was a baby.
This book was recommended by my daughter’s new therapist. We had been struggling for a long time until we found a therapist that knew what we were dealing with. This book has been very helpful to understand my daughter’s struggles and also to show us a path in our way to help her overcome her fears.

About the Author
Boston-born Francis Parkman (1823-1893), whose most famous books are "The Oregon Trail" and "France and England in North America," was a renowned American historian and leading horticulturalist. He was briefly a Professor of Horticulture at Harvard University's Bussey Institution (his successor at Harvard was Charles Sprague Sargent, creator and head of the Arnold Arboretum for more than 50 years) and the President of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society. In the 1850s, he purchased land bordering Jamaica Pond for his summer home. Today, the Francis Parkman Memorial sits near the former site of the house, while Francis Parkman Drive runs through the former location of his rose garden.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon was a British Particular Baptist preacher who became famously known as “The Prince of Preachers”. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years and has remained a big influence today on Christians of many different denominations.

Spurgeon converted at the age of 16 and just 4 years later became pastor of the New Park Street Chapel. Popular from the start, Spurgeon often gave sermons to audiences of more than 10,000 people. Spurgeon was a prolific writer of sermons, devotionals, commentaries and prayer books, many of which were published. Spurgeon’s “magnum opus” was The Treasury of David which was published over the course of 20 years in the Metropolitan Tabernacle’s periodical, The Sword and the Trowel. During his lifetime Spurgeon started a charity organization and founded a pastor’s college, which was renamed Spurgeon’s College after his death.

This edition of Spurgeon’s Classics includes a working table of contents and images of Spurgeon and his life.
