The diamond teaching among spiritual gems

This book needs to be approached with the heart. For people that are looking for a purely intellectual understanding of the path that leads to liberation and then relinquish the goal to be able to help humanity, this book will remain a mystery. H.P. Blavatsky unveils the true path, the antaskarana or bridge, that connects the individual mind and heart to what is popularly known as the cosmic mind or universal soul and points to the metaphysical virtues or qualities of the inner man necessary to be developed to reach that enlightenment. The Voice of the Silence is the diamond among the gems of initiation and spiritual awakening and not meant for the faint of heart. It corresponds in essence with the same teachings found in the spiritual understanding of the words of Christ and Krishna and then some.

Wonderful edition of this classic book from H.P. Blavatsky. The verse numbers and updated Sanskrit are a nice touch. Pocket-sized also, which makes it easy to take with you anywhere. For those looking to understand the heart and soul of the Bodhisattva path of mystic Buddhism, this little book is a must-have.

H. P. Blavatsky's "The Voice of the Silence"

If you grew up thinking about western forms of philosophy & religion, then the eastern forms of spirituality in this book probably won't appeal to you. If, however, you are curious about what eastern forms of religion actually say, then by all means read this book.
The East has its own way of putting religious concepts, its own religious symbols. As a result, this book didn't make much sense to me, even with Blavatsky's footnoted explanations. But I thought Blavatsky's introduction was very interesting.
